Economix by Michael Goodwin and Dan E. Burr

An excellent lesson of the history of economics and, really, class struggle. It’s relevant now more than ever in the wake of upcoming U.S. elections. This book  sheds light on the romantic ideas of neoliberalism and free market and makes a distinction between what works in theory and what works in reality. History shows, again and again, that too much deregulation leads to economic instability. It shows, also, that plutocracies end up in exploitation and collapse. And as Adam Smith said, “beware of capitalists”. Great read overall.
